Merry Christmas | Kelly Braman Photography | Grand Rapids Wedding and Family Photography

Oh my goodness! Where did 2014 go? Seriously??

Reflecting on this past year I have so much joy in my heart. This year was full of awakenings in me both personally and professionally. I traveled to South Africa to start out the year and that was an unforgettable and life changing experience. I felt like God truly opened my eyes so much wider on that adventure with my cousin, Ali.

I also traveled to Tennesse with my family and another family we love and time away with my boys and husband is truly truly priceless! I don’t care where we go or what we do (ok..I kind of care..I like warmer temps *big baby alert) but the uninterrupted time is priceless! Making memories is so very important and I love love love my sweet family.

I also super unexpectedly traveled to Montana with my youngest, Charlieb. and my in-laws for 10 days to spend time with my brother and sister in law and their 3 children. I NEVER have had 4 weeks off in the middle of the summer to travel and still have the same amount (actually more) clients than previous years. God is so good and that time with family was a gift. I am so grateful. There is something so calming about time in the mountains. That downtime was good for my soul.

Micah and I also secretly cried about our oldest son starting High School this year. (ok..I cried and he was the strong one…but, we both agreed this time is soooo bittersweet) Charlie started the school year as a 4th grader and is in a new wing of the school! Big stuff for the Braman family! Time stands still for no one 🙁

We have enjoyed watching our two sons play and enjoy baseball (Micah coached Charlie and Jack umpired his very first paid gig for his little brother..so cool) We loved cheering for both boys as they played football (Micah coached again and Jack played freshman ball) And now we are loving basketball season! We feel blessed our boys are happy and healthy and do not take that for granted.

We love our church and have met some new and wonderful people and families this year. God has been pruning us and loving us more than we deserve this year. Excited to follow Him into the next year, as well!

Sully turned 3 this year (his birthday is 11/11/11) Yup! Another gift as he is the true Braman Baby!

I guess that sums up our year personally. What a year full of changes and love and gratitude for all that God is doing for us and through us!

I want to take a minute to personally thank my AMAZING clients! I still can’t believe that God has given my the desires of my heart in becoming a photographer! Although this is my 8th year…I still feel like someone should pinch me! I have such a heart for couples and families and know without a doubt that this journey was a part of God’s plan for my life. Grateful yet again for the opportunity to document your stories and be a witness to your love! So, THANK YOU!!!!

I  could write a novel about my experiences this year with my business and the joy and challenges it has brought me, but this is getting to be a long post. I don’t typically share my personal life much, but it’s not because I don’t love to. It’s just I am typically a one man show over here and I don’t have enough hours in the day to share my stories and heart. I will say that this year was a bit easier with the help from my sweet as honey intern, Alexianna! She has helped with admin and Facebook posts and all of the behind the scenes things that help me to be the best I can be for my clients. Thank you, Alexianna! I want you to stay with me forever. And last, but certainly, not least. A huge thanks to my 2nd shooter and friend, Selena! You all know the love I have for her if you have met her at your wedding! She is simply the best and I am forever grateful to her!

So, with that….MERRY CHRISTMAS!  I hope you all have a blessed holiday with your favorites and your new year is filled to the brim with love, peace, hope, joy and special memories made!

love and blessings,

kellyb.
