love it|kelly braman photography

Heelllooooo!  I’m Dee!

In the small friendship Kelly & I made during our time together (as a former bride of hers), I confessed to her my interest in photography.  My experience with her services REALLY heightened my curiosity & she was always very kind & encouraging.  Recently Kelly gave me the opportunity to explore my dreams more realistically.  I couldn’t be more thankful for her friendship & willingness to share in her knowledge & God given talents.  As of right now, I may only be good at tagging along to sessions, offering to carry a lens bag & striking creepy poses while Kelly gets her settings, but I’m thoroughly LOVING it! 🙂  I am sooooo looking forward to learning all I can about this art/business while helping Kelly…& can’t wait to contribute little pieces of myself to this blog.

For my first post, how could I NOT promote the wonderful experience I’ve had with Kelly Braman Photography?!  Let me tell you…

I first met Kelly at my engagement session Dec ‘09.  I booked her services via email as I LOVED all the work on her website.  Everything’s so darn romantical & dreamy in my opinion!  Ahhhhhh…sigh…

My husband & I are very awkward, to say the least, about getting our picture taken.  I’m sure many can relate to me when I say that!  Although I was praying for my pictures to turn out like those I drooled over on her website, I was not so hopeful we could pull off looking natural.  We don’t do well smiling OR with PDA stuff “on command”. 🙂  We were nervous & a bit negative about how it might go, to say the least.

Unfortunately, I was lame & chose the grounds around the GR Veteran’s Home as our session location.  I thought it COULD be cool because I used to volunteer there & my husband is a Marine Corp vet…..but we quickly discovered it really wasn’t cool at all…especially in the snow.  Not to mention Kelly advised me to avoid wearing white like the plague (against the white backdrop of wintertime) & there I was, sporting a white shirt.

Thankfully, when we met Kelly at location, she was nice to me regardless 🙂 & really worked it for us (as well as finding an additional location that was a better fit).  Kelly made the process incredibly fun & easy!  What a relief that she really knew what she was doing.  She made us feel comfortable & directed with ease…we definitely would NOT have ended up with the images I had hoped for if it had been left up to what we thought posing was (hee hee).  Most importantly, she helped us be ourselves….and I have to say, those were the moments she captured in images that turned out the best!   A little over a month later on our wedding day, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome!  I felt as though she was a lifelong girlfriend really looking out for our best interests.  How awesomely special is that?!

I mean it from the bottom of my heart when I say you won’t be disappointed with Kelly Braman Photography.  The experience is personal, fun & real.  You will receive approximately 1.2 million compliments on your images & will most definitely cherish them always.

Please feel free to contact me with any of your questions regarding my experience, & I will gladly give you my honest answers.

Bye for now 🙂
